TIME released its
"100 Most Influential People" issue on Friday, and I was asked this year to create a portrait of
Sonia Gandhi, the widow of Rajiv Gandhi and the powerbroker behind India's democratic government. It's always an honor and a challenge to be a part of. Over the years, I've been able to create portraits that mine a range of cultures and historical styles for the "100", so I thought I'd put a few of the past examples up as well.
