Person of the Day

AUGUST 16, 2007
Charles Ferguson, a first-time filmmaker, has made “No End in Sight”, a very cogent exploration how and when the war went “south” (as it does ever faster today) told in the words of Bush Administration “managers” of the occupation such as Jay Garner and Richard Armitage.  It depicts the breakdown of clear thought, communication and general competence.  It shows how we CREATED the insurgency by 1. Failing to set up a functioning government, 2. Firing all the Baath government officials and 3. Dissolving the army.  Run, don’t walk to this one.  And bring a Republican friend.
