posted:
Yamamay is an Italian lingerie brand. They called me last October to do some adv images for the Christmas catalog.
that's the first time I try to do something with "sexy" subjects, I enjoyed to do this project.

they gave me some specific ingredients to do the cakes:

- lingeries

- afro American woman (since the Yamamay model was Jessica White)

- Christmas

- poker cards

- sexy

- 50s fashion

I found this delicious postcard of J. Baker when I was in Paris, last November, it was helpful for the color of the first image

ADV art director's cut
posted:
I always thought that my style and my concepts are connected, for this reason often happen to me to reject those kind of assignments where the art directors ask me to "wear" their own ideas with my style.
I don't feel comfortable in this particular situations and I can't  guarantee the quality of my work  therefore I prefer reject the assignment.

but sometimes the ideas of art directors match good with my visual language. those two below, I think, are some of those exceptions. both of those project's ideas coming from the creative teams of the adv agencies.

I did Barclays ( a UK Bank) project with BBH London, and Esso (an oil + energie company)  project with DDB London

The lady and the dragon
posted:
Every year on December the Italian magazine Internazionale (my favorite Italian magazine) use to publish a special issue of short stories fully illustrated by Italian comic artist and illustrators. This edition have included  Lorenzo Mattotti for the cover, Guido Scarabottolo, Gipi and other great artists.
I had the pleasure to work on the last 3 editions. This year I worked on the brilliant and funny short story of  Lydia Millet "The Lady and the  Dragon" , From Love in Infant Monkeys, Soft Skull Press 2009. if u have a chance take a read of the story.

I inspired myself looking some pictures about 1933 King Kong movie.
