"Fur" Monotype on Paper 12x15"
I was invited by Sacramento artist and animal activist Gale Hart to participate in the group show Living With Fur. This art show hopes to challenge people's assumptions of rabbits and examine our culture's diverse understanding of these creatures, and the various ways we are all Living with Fur. This show will benefit the Friends of Unwanted Rabbits organization dedicated to rescuing rabbits and finding them forever homes. This show is sponsored by Scion and F.U.R. will be at the opening with their newest foster bunny baby, a 6 month old, 12 lb, Flemish Giant!
My Inspiration and Design
"Love animals: God has given them the rudiments of thought and joy untroubled. Do not trouble their joy, don't harrass them, don't deprive them of their happiness, don't work against God's intent. Man, do not pride yourself on superiority to animals; they are without sin, and you, with your greatness, defile the earth by your apppearance on it, and leave the traces of your foulness after you - alas, it is true of almost every one of us!"
Fyodor Dostoyevsky
