Gary's post on Google got the attention of the big guys. Other mentions are Melinda Beck, Drawger, Joe Ciardiello, and Brian Stauffer. It's nice to see issues relating to illustration reaching the ears of the wider world. I was very pleased to have the well articulated quotes in the article represent my profession. Well done to everyone involved.

I swear, my first round of sketches was was less busy. The second round was too. The AD kept asking that we combine all the elements from all the sketches. She's a nice person, so we gave her what she wanted. I think the result looks good. I'm proud of the image, but I've always been skeptical about whether or not it would make it to press. Sadly, it didn't. Oh well, I'll print it and wrap it around a book. It will be a nice addition to my collection of killed / very limited edition dust jackets. |
