It's been a while since I painted a person, and most of the time I like to just work on the paintings I do with Gina. Despite these two things I really had an itch to paint our daughter Juniper. I thought I'd keep it straightforward and paint this one by myself. I know, I missed a major chance for some corny title like, "Our Greatest Collaboration". That painting below with the circus mirror proportions is one of my figure paintings from when I was an undergrad, and since then I've only painted a person once or twice. Not sure if I'll do it again. Maybe if we have another kid.
