Beastman (sydney)

About a month ago I went to see the Outpost street art exhibition held in Cockatoo Island in Sydney Harbour.
After a ten minute ferry trip with amazing views to the Opera House and Harbour Bridge we arrived to the island which used to be a penal establishment and a ship building facility during the world wars. The site has amazing industrial archeology from the early years of the previous century and it is ment to be kept in a way to preserve this history. Aditionaly it is used as a cultural centre overlaying the amazing historical condition.
I enjoyed so much this setting under the Sydney blue sky walking through this exhibition. I hope these photos are able to capture some of it for you.
It included International artists such as Banksy, also local favourites such as Anthony Lister, Beastman and James Reka.
Roa. [Belgium]

Heesco. (Australia/Mongolia)

Kid Zoom. (Australia)

Vexta. [Australia]

Some Banksy prints.

Collective Clutter

The Design Files 2012 calendar has been released! Published by Lamington Drive, it features the work of 12 Australian (and adopted Australian) illustrators, all from The Jacky Winter Group.
Each illustrator was asked to 'give a little window into their home and studio environments - sharing their collective creative clutter'.  I was asked to illustrate my pantry and was given a colour pallete to use. It was really good fun!

I do have all these in my pantry! Of course I have boring products on it too but just because having them doesn't mean I have to draw them! Let's keep my good image.

For Breast Cancer Research

Last month, I worked with my mate Kate Banazi chalking up the set for the 2011 Fashion Targets Breast Cancer campaign. We had the best time and it was a diferent experience for us. People were really nice and it was cool to be part of this project where Models, photographers and everyone else donates their time and work pro Breast Cancer research.
I realized chalking walls is such a great excercise, I had sore legs the next day. I might start a Chalk Yoga practice.
Can't wait to work with Kate again, we always have good fun together and I love her work. She makes delicious meals and is better than me with the pencil however her silkscreen prints magic! If you are curious please have a look at her work, but I can tell you it's even more impresive in real life where you can see the amount of  layers.
