Ideas about learning to read....

Here are some simple, direct pencil line sketches that the client used as finished illustrations. We were working under a tight deadline for a grade school teacher’s guide book and I was glad she agreed that this would be an efficient approach. I think it’s a gratifying way to get very close to showing the raw unembellished concepts.
This one illustrates a quote by Ambrose Bierce which poetically suggests that when Kant wrote he rode a house...
...and when Locke wrote, he lived in a horse.
