Paintings exhibited at the Society of Illustrators
posted:
I have two paintings in the Society of Illustrators Advertising and Institutional show , which is opening tonight.
This piece is my 42nd or 43rd poster created for Arena Stage ( I've lost count ).
I really enjoyed working with Nicky Lindeman at SpotCo on this one.
"Every Tongue Confess " is a play about church burnings and racial division in a southern town during a very hot summer in the 1990s.
The playwright Marcus Gardley blends magical realism with biblical allegory.
Acrylic on gessoed board.
The second painting in the show was a poster created for the Department of State for Earth Day 2010 . For more information about my process creating this poster see my post from April 22.
