All Night Long!

NOVEMBER 6, 2006
Yes, tomorrow there is an important election where the future of the world hangs in the balance.  But Wednesday, Lionel Richie is playing the Beacon Theatre!  Get your tickets!

If you want to get an idea of the varied assignments I work on, it doesn't get any better than this.  I did this drawing for The New Yorker Magazine.  It should be in this week's issue.  Here's all the info from The New Yorker's website for the wild Lionel Richie fans in the room:

BEACON THEATRE
Broadway at 74th St. (212-307-7171)—Nov. 8: The eighties pop giant Lionel Richie. Back when Ronald Reagan was President and Saddam Hussein was considered an ally, no house party or romantic interlude was complete without the softly funky dance anthems and soulful ballads of the ex-Commodore, who delivered an unrivalled string of hits during those years, including “All Night Long (All Night),” “Penny Lover,” “Dancing on the Ceiling,” and “Hello.” His celebrity has been overshadowed recently by the antics of Nicole Richie, his daughter, but he recently released a new album, “Coming Home,” that has put him on the charts again.
