My son, the pink legged weirdo in some pink eyed weird shorts I designed. The socks are his. Oh wait....one of them is mine.
Here's one of his collages.
Here's one of my daughter's collages.
Here's one of my wife's photographs.
My kids, Sam Lubicz and Alpha Lubicz and I will be showing together twice this year.....in Dallas (date to be announced) and in November in Burbank where my wife Issa Sharp may join us. They all have websites if you want to see more.
Too tough for the editors

A story about "foreclosure mills" in Florida......mendacious lawyers profiting from homeowners' losses. Alas, the character was a bit much for the editors...working on a version showing the back of shyster's head instead. Oh well.....you get to see it.
So....here's the editor-approved version. It still works and takes the emphasis off the bad guy. I was riffing off my former student and terrific painter Owen Smith with the top one. I don't believe I taught him anything but he's inspired me. This was for Mother Jones and the swell Carolyn Perot, A.D.
It's been a bad week

A couple of interesting assignments seem to have been turned around by editors, owners, whoever has the power. Apparently the art departments don't. But I knew that two upcoming shows would allow me to show what I wanted to present. Well, I just got word that one is being postponed until....? Here's a piece from the show....
Another Frankenstein assignment

I call these jobs Frankensteins because they entail using scavenged body parts and a famous head to create the picture. I get a lot of these. Not my favorite assignments, but I appreciate the work. Joe Heroun and Chris Carr are swell to work with. This is a take-off of course on Slim Pickens's famous ride in Dr. Strangelove.
The Past will find you.

From 1983. My entry into a book of "erotic" art, The Blue Book. Most of the illos were trying for "sexy" or scandalous so I thought I'd go for profane. I just came across this recently and it jarred me. It's ghastly yet somehow.....uh....er.......mmm...

From an exhibit of erotic art in the early 80's in L.A. that also featured works by Panter, Robt. Williams, Pizz , Tadanori Yokoo, and many other dirty minded folk.
It's a bit raw for Facebook but thought some of you might find it amusing.
Cheers!
