Of the 3 sketches, this one was the best composition. I really struggle with keeping it simple.
A sculpture stood in Port a Prince of a man blowing a conch shell. What I do not know is whether this was a sculpture that signified something positive in the nation.
Clay board makes some incredible textures from the razor blade-almost a crackle in circles.
I have been making my own paints with liquid pigments and kaolin. A quick lifting of the sennelier ink created the glow in the eye.
This essay was a tourists memory and her encounter with a Haitian artist mother and the writer's forlorn hope that she might be safe during this tragedy and comforted by someone.
