Music writer, Stefan Shepherd has reviewed the two CDs I illustrated and designed (Lunch Money and The Jellydots) on his children's music blog, Zooglobble. I guess he took a liking to my work and he interviewed me a while back. Recently, he asked me to come up with a new logo for his site and I was obliged.

Stefan requested I try to convey sharing in the logo. He also wanted the kids to be active in some way... not just listening.

Here's my latest job for eeBoo. It's to go on sketchbooks and a case for colored pencils. I created a tight version and sent it in, but they liked to the looseness and spontaneity of my sketch. So, I went back to my sketch and did a variation on that. I quite enjoyed doing a looser style.

Here's to a great 2010!... heck, I'll settle for anything better than last year.

Above is my last illustration of 2009, commissioned by the most excellent Aiko Masazumi at Westchester Magazine. The article is a list of the best places to propose in Westchester County. I chose to go with Playland.

Fun Fact- Did you know that the 1988 Tom Hanks movie 'Big' was filmed at Playland in Westchester County?

Here is a piece I illustrated for Stephanie Glaros at Utne Reader. I believe it's in the current issue on the newstands, although I've not seen it yet. The article is about how parents stop singing to/with thier children when they enter school age.I for one, still sing to my 5-year-old... much to his and his mother's shegrin.

A few spots fresh out of the oven... created for the lovely Aiko Masazumi at Westchester Magazine.

The article was about how to be a better Westchester resident, but I'd imagine any community would benefit from these deeds.

Baron Von Sugarfang

Might I introduce Baron Von Sugarfang?
Folks laugh at him, but he don't give a dang.
	Behind his cloak (jewel encrusted),
	Gleams two candy corn bicuspid.
People, they can be cruel, they point and mock,
but alas, they are bitten and die from sugar shock.
